The modern Welsh Horse Yeomanry was formed in 1994 and is named in honour of the twentieth century British Army regiment of the same name. We are a civilian display team providing historical displays on horseback. These are primarily intended to be entertainment but are also educational and informative. We perform four main displays. The Welsh Horse Musical Ride, a fast-moving colourful display of skilled horsemanship; Cadfarch (Welsh for ‘War Horse’) which recreates the requisitioning and training of civilian horses for the First World War; Cavalry through the Ages which depicts, in a series of cameo scenes, the development of the uniforms and weapons of cavalry riders from the Iron Age onwards and the English Civil War Pageant which, again in a series of cameo scenes, tells the story of the English Civil War in the seventeenth century. We can also undertake pageantry and processional work. In addition to our own displays, we provide horses for use by English Heritage, re-enactment groups and other societies.
Hello there I am organising the East Coast Equestrian Extragavanza on 30th September 2017 & looking for Grand Ring displays and wondered if your group be interested in coming to perform

Hello Sam. Thank you for your enquiry. We would love to, but please be aware that there is a significant cost involved especially for travel. Please send me more details: location, etc. We always make a tribute to the local Yeomanry Regiment wherever we perform. Many thanks. Kind regards. Gareth
